We’re excited to officially kick off our Fall Flag Football Season on Friday, September 11th at Jacob Hespeler Football Field!
Our first evening will be a chance for players to meet their coaches and teammates, get comfortable on the field, and get ready for the regular season.
What to Expect on September 11th
Our Season Kick Off Night will consist of a team practice followed by a short scrimmage. This will give coaches an opportunity to work with their players before regular-season games begin.
Uniforms will also be handed out to coaches on Friday night for distribution to their teams. If you registered within the last week, your uniform may be delayed. Don’t worry—we expect any outstanding uniforms to arrive in time for the opening of the regular season.
👕 Fall Uniform Reminder
For the Fall season, players will receive a team shirt and flag belt. Shorts are not included.
Players are welcome to wear their shorts from the Spring season or their own athletic shorts or track pants. Please make sure all shorts or track pants DO NOT HAVE POCKETS.
Mouthguards are mandatory for all players. Please don’t forget yours!
📱 Check TeamLinkt for Your Schedule
Our season schedules have now been posted to TeamLinkt. All families should have downloaded the TeamLinkt app and joined their team so they can view schedules and receive team communication.
Please check TeamLinkt before Friday for your team’s scheduled practice time.
If you haven’t downloaded the app, cannot see your team, or need assistance, please see Dan at the field Friday night and we’ll get you set up.
⏰ Regular Season Practice & Game Times
Once regular-season games begin, every team will practice for 30 minutes immediately before its scheduled game.
6:30 PM Game: Practice 6:00–6:30 PM → Game begins at 6:30 PM
7:30 PM Game: Practice 7:00–7:30 PM → Game begins at 7:30 PM
This format is necessary because our grass field is not lit, and daylight will become more limited as we move further into the Fall season.
🙋 We Need Field Volunteers!
We are looking for a few volunteers who can help us set up and take down the fields on Friday nights throughout the season.
Even a few extra hands make a big difference and help ensure everything is ready when our players arrive.
If you’re able to help, please reach out to Dan. We’ll add you to our volunteer list and show you exactly what is involved in setting up the fields.
🏈 See You Friday, September 11th!
We’re looking forward to another great season of Cambridge Lions NFL FLAG Football. Thank you to all of our players, parents, coaches and volunteers for helping make the program possible.
Check TeamLinkt, pack your mouthguard, and get ready for Season Kick Off!
