Cambridge Minor Football does not guarantee play time. The coaches of each team will make adjustments to the starting team as needed and provide opportunities for play as often as possible, but field time is not guaranteed for all players.
To be considered eligible to play for the Cambridge Lions you must be a player in good standing.
If you are coming to Cambridge Minor Football you must be a player in good standing with your former association. All accounts with your former association must be settled prior to registering. You must also receive a formal release from your former association if you are not in a free agency period.
It is the decision of the CMFA Board of Directors as to who has access (logins/passwords) to these accounts

Being considered not in good standing will affect your ability to register for future Cambridge Minor Football programming and is reported to other Football Ontario teams.
All equipment provided to the player unless explicitly indicated is the property of Cambridge Minor Football and must be returned no later than 2wks after the end of the season or on the date/time specified by the Director of Equipment.
Failure to return equipment will result in a rental fee (see fees section) being applied to your account and a new date of return being assigned to the player.
Failure to return the equipment by the new deadline will result in additional rental fees being assigned to the player. This process will continue until the equipment is returned or the full cost of the equipment (see fees section) has been applied to your account.
Failure to return your equipment will result in your account be considered no longer in good standing.
Can I use my own equipment?
Any personal equipment must be vetted and cleared for safety by the Director of Equipment prior to its use.
Game day helmets must be the correct colour (Vegas Gold) to be used. Other colour helmets may not be used during games.
Can I rent Cambridge Minor Football's equipment?
Yes - Cambridge Minor Football rents its equipment to players for use during the High School season and, under specific circumstances, to the public as well as well. For more information please contact our Director of Equipment.
Cambridge Minor Football strives to keep fees low to allow as many individuals who wish to play the opportunity to do so. We do not post our registration fees publicly as they are subject to change and are frequently re-assessed.

Football Ontario & Football Canada
As a tackle/touch football player in the province of Ontario you are required to have an active membership with both Football Ontario & Football Canada before you can stop on an active field. As of 2022, these memberships are billed at the time of your first registration for the year and are subject to change.

Rental & Equipment
Equipment Certification:
Cambridge Minor Football sends its equipment for re-certification annually. If you would like your personal equipment re-certified we can include your helmet in our shipments for $80.
Fees must be paid before helmet can be picked up.
